They are seeking a highly motivated detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy team of two attorneys and paralegals across multiple litigation-focused practice areas including insurance coverage auto accidents product and premises liability employment and admiralty law. Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegal in a fast-paced litigation practice
- Draft proofread and format legal correspondence and documents
- Organize file and maintain legal documents (both paper and electronic files)
- Manage attorney calendars including court deadlines depositions and client meetings
- Assist with document preparation and filings including pleadings discovery and motions
- Communicate effectively with clients courts and internal team members
- Perform general office tasks including billing assistance document scanning and data entry
- Proactively anticipate the needs of the attorneys and contribute to the overall efficiency of the team
Required Qualifications
- 35 years of legal assistant experience preferably in litigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and ProLaw is a plus
- Strong attention to detail organization and time management
- Able to handle multiple personalities and adjust communication style accordingly
- Comfortable working with a direct results-driven supervisor who values independence and efficiency
- Quick learner with a willingness to take initiative and grow within the role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
