The Opportunity

New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Instructor IT: Business and Advanced Analytics. Position Type: Term from August 2025 to March 2026 36.25 hours weekly

Location: Moncton

Salary Range: $2454.00 to $3776.00 bi-weekly

What youll do

Responsibilities

As part of the School of Information Technology and reporting to the Academic Chair the Instructor is responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students colleagues community partners and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas may include but are not limited to:

  • Data Management

  • Statistics

  • Python

  • R
  • Power BI

  • Machine Learning

What youll need

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics/Data Science or a relevant field with a minimum of three (3) years of recent & related experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Professional Skills:

  • Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills analytical ability and innovative thinking.

  • Self-motivated service and results-oriented.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.

  • A desire for continuous learning and growth.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Assets:

  • A Masters Degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business or a related field and/or Industry Certifications in Business Analysis and Data Analytics.

  • Experience working in a post-secondary environment.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response the minimum qualifications may be raised.
