Job Description
CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist / Machining Technician required to join a growing precision manufacturing company based in Houston TX.
CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist / Machining Technician will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC lathes mills and other shop equipment to support both production and engineering operations in a low-volume high-mix environment. The role involves blueprint interpretation machine maintenance and contributing to quality and safety standards across the facility.
CNC Machinist / Manual Machinist / Machining Technician will ideally have experience with multi-axis CNC machines fixture setup gauging tools including CMMs and a good working knowledge of CNC programming and GD&T.

Role
- Perform complete machine setups on manual lathes CNC lathes and mills across various part types and programs.
- Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and drawings aligned with GD&T principles.
- Carry out machining operations to support both production and engineering floors.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean safe and organized condition.
- Conduct preventive maintenance per PM schedules and inspect machines for wear or damage.
- Operate and understand gauging equipment including CMM and verify gage calibration.
- Set up fixturing and tooling as per job requirements.
- Understand CNC programming basics; ability to create and edit programs is a plus.
- Follow all engineering instructions standard operating procedures and departmental guidelines.

Requirements
- 3 years experience in CNC machining within a production or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of gauging tools machine safety and fixturing.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with CNC controls and programming languages.
- Must be able to read technical drawings and machine documentation.
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/move around the shop floor.
- Strong math skills and ability to use precision measuring tools.
