Job Description
Under the direction of SPD leadership the incumbent assists in carrying out the responsibilities for the overall workflow of the shift. Incumbent decontaminates operationally checks assembles sterilizes and distributes surgical instrumentation implants supplies and equipment throughout the Medical Center. Incumbent maintains documentation related to these duties and assists in the training of other Sterile Processing Technicians. Incumbent troubleshoots equipment instruments and customer issues. Incumbent operates and maintains sterilization equipment decontamination equipment and computer systems related to these duties. The incumbent participates in performance improvement planning and implementation. This position requires the flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
