Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Billing Specialist performs various clerical and administrative duties in the billing department including data entry information verification and invoice generation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Identifies flags and monitors overdue or unpaid accounts for further action and analysis.
Answering customer phone calls and scheduling accordingly.
Records payments and reconciles accounts to facilitate up-to-date and accurate financial records.
Gathers pertinent account information to assist with researching invoice discrepancies and errors.
Manages follow-up notifications and may respond to standard billing inquiries.
Follows policies procedures and controls to validate customer billing information invoice amount and order details.
Handle area rug repair communications
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong Math Skills; Proficient with 10-key
Not Required but helpful:
Proficient with Quickbooks Software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least two years of billing experience required.
