ABOUT LIFEMOVES
LifeMoves is the largest and most effective provider of interim housing and services for homelessness in Silicon Valley. Since 1987 our mission has been to end homelessness by providing interim housing supportive services and building collaborative partnerships. With over two dozen interim supportive housing communities and more on the way LifeMoves gives our neighbors experiencing homelessness a temporary place to call home while providing intensive customized case management through site-based programs and community outreach.
POSITION PURPOSE
Impact Circle donorsLifeMoves mid-level donor communityprovide critical revenue today and help build the pipeline for future major and planned gifts. The Donor Impact Officer manages a portfolio of these donors focusing on cultivation solicitation stewardship and engagement. This role is central to advancing LifeMoves fundraising goals by strengthening donor loyalty growing annual support and identifying those ready for deeper investment
Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy the Donor Impact Officer collaborates closely with colleagues across the Development team and program staff to align donor interests with LifeMoves mission. The ideal candidate is strategic detail-oriented and highly skilled in personalized donor engagement across multiple channels. Strong writing phone project management and CRM (Salesforce preferred)skills are essential.
This role qualifies for a hybrid schedule (a minimum of 2 days in the office 3 days remotely and a maximum of 3 days remotely).
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary relationship manager for a tiered portfolio of mid-level donors ($1000$9999). Lead cultivation solicitation and personalized stewardship efforts to deepen engagement and drive donor upgrades.
Help shape and grow the mid-level giving program by refining strategy expanding the donor base strengthening pipelines and implementing segmented communications and donor experiences that build connection and loyalty.
Build a vibrant and connected mid-level donor communitycreating meaningful touchpoints shared experiences and a sense of belonging that reinforces donor commitment and inspires continued investment.
Contribute to strategic planning and goal-setting for the mid-level giving program including revenue targets engagement metrics and long-term donor pipeline development.
Work collaboratively with the Principal Giving team to identify donors with capacity for greater investment and ensure smooth transitions as relationships deepen.
Continuously evaluate and improve donor experience touchpoints incorporating data and feedback to refine outreach stewardship and communications strategies.
Support planning and execution of donor engagement opportunities such as intimate gatherings mission-driven events volunteering and behind-the-scenes experiences that strengthen donor connection to LifeMoves work
QUALIFICATION
5 years of fundraising experience preferably as a mid-level or major giving officer at a nonprofit of similar size and complexity.
Proven success managing donor portfolios meeting revenue goals and driving donor upgrades.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across multiple channels.
Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) MS Office and donor segmentation.
Strong attention to detail and project management skills
Commitment to team collaboration positive workplace culture and ongoing professional development.
Experience partnering with Development Operations on data analysis donor segmentation and metrics tracking.
Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace that welcomes diverse backgrounds and experiences.
