Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker on a 2-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 18.66 - 25.51 per hour

Summary:

As a Social Worker at Nottinghamshire County Council you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable individuals and families. You will assess needs plan care coordinate services and advocate for service users to promote their well-being safety independence and quality of life. Youll work collaboratively with a range of partners and within statutory frameworks to deliver high standards of professional practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in supervision and ongoing professional development maintaining HCPC/Social Work England registration.
  • Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions to prevent harm or deterioration in circumstances.
  • Undertake assessments of individuals and families to identify needs and risks in line with statutory duties.
  • Develop and implement person-centered care and support plans ensuring that services are proportionate effective and timely.
  • Safeguard children and adults through timely interventions risk assessments and coordinated multi-agency work.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Essentials:

  • Experience working with a diverse range of individuals including those with mental health issues learning disabilities physical disabilities or at risk of harm.
  • Proven experience in statutory social work with children families or adults (depending on team).
  • Strong understanding of social work legislation policy and guidance.
  • Experience of multi-agency working and managing complex caseloads.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
