About The Remote Pools Project:
The Remote Pools Project is a community led program that improves the health and vitality of First Nations communities for present and future generations.
Pools are much more than a place to swim and for nowhere more so than in a remote community. Local swimming pools are a vital and valuable community resource places to gather connect clean off and cool down on a hot day!
The Opportunities:
The Y Northern Territory is currently recruiting 3 x Aquatic Coordinators ($80000p/a $10000p/a remote living allowance) and 3 x Duty Managers ($70000p/a $10000p/a remote living allowance) to work across our following remote pool operations:
These roles commence in September where our operational team based in Central Australia will prepare for the season opening of the pools on 20 September. The pool operating season concludes at the end of March 2026.
Working with the Remote Pools Project offers a unique opportunity to live and work in a First Nations community in Central Australia delivering a vital community service by providing safe swimming experiences and delivery of community-led programs that aims to improve community health and wellbeing and equip children and young people with water safety skills and knowledge to prevent drowning.
