Job Description
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking a part-time instructor to teach Biological Sciences courses at the undergraduate level in-person at the Chillicothe campus . The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following in-person sections: BIOS 1030 (Human Biology I: Basic Principles) BIOS 1300 (Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology I) BIOS 1310 (Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology II) BIOS 2200 (Conservation and Biodiversity). BIOS 1030: Humans as biological organisms: our origins ecology and inheritance and functioning of our body systems. BIOS 1300: Introduction to the structure and function of the human body using chemicals cells tissues to study the integumentary skeletal muscular and nervous systems. BIOS 1310 is a continuation of the BIOS 1300 series the second course in a 2-course introduction to the structure and function of the human body featuring study and critical-thinking evaluation of the endocrine cardiovascular lymphatic & immune respiratory gastrointestinal urinary and reproductive systems. BIOS 2200: For nonmajors. Introduces the student to the modern field of conservation biology and the role of genetics ecology life history and biogeography in the preservation and maintenance of biodiversity. Case studies of endangered animal and plant species will be highlighted. Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in biology or related field by the time of appointment A demonstrated commitment to outstanding undergraduate education Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

PhD in Biology or other closely related field
