Job Description
The School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences is seeking full-time benefits-eligible non-tenure track Instructors in mathematics applied mathematics statistics interdisciplinary computing physics and related fields for a hiring pool. The successful candidate(s) may teach 10 courses per academic year (five courses per semester). This position may teach in-person online or a hybrid schedule. Instructors are pedagogical specialists who bear the primary responsibility for their assigned courses.

Successful candidates will demonstrate throughout their materials how their teaching will contribute to the fulfillment of this charter.
Essential Functions of the Position:
- Teach courses in relevant areas in-person online hybrid or a combination thereof
- Hold office hours to support students appropriate for modality
- Prepare syllabus appropriate course goals and objectives and lesson plans
- Monitor student progress and intervene when appropriate
- Evaluate and select course materials and other teaching materials
- Prepare administer and grade assignments
- Administer mid-term and/or final exams
- Develop maintain and update course materials as appropriate
- Complete periodic mandatory training
- Monitor and respond to university college and school communication and requests
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in mathematics statistics applied mathematics computer science data science physics or a related field at the time of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with students from a wide variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds including first-generation college students
- Evidence of teaching excellence e.g. student evaluations syllabi peer observation annual evaluations etc.
- Doctoral degree preferred
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Experience in online instruction
