Responsibilities

Job Summary

Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying disassembling cleaning reassembling and maintaining operating room equipment. Assisting in maintaining a clean sanitary orderly OR environment and transporting patients as required.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

One year of related work experience in an acute care hospital that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.

Post-high school training specific to health care (i.e. central processing health care assistant) preferred. Work experience in perioperative or as a military medic/corpsman is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Current American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS certification
