Mechanical Assembler
At Curtiss Wright we specialize in in the design engineering and manufacturing of components and systems for the aerospace and defense sectors. Our facility in Monsey NY has a focus on electrical units and housings for navy applications.
Our mechanical assembler will fabricate components and products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a selected area of the production floor for the Defense Industry.
Location: Monsey NY
hourly rate: $24.00 - $27.00

Your Challenge
Perform any assembly-type functions using hand or power tools and related equipment.
Operate press brake to assemble sheets.
Operate automatic fastener machine to secure lining to sidewalls.
Operate index machine.
Perform carpenter-related work.
Operate both stationary and moving overhead cranes.
Install lights and wiring.
Operate forklift as required.
Operate any equipment needed to perform job.
Perform other related duties as needed by the supervisor.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What You Bring
Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions.
Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Ability to apply critical thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and develop a new concept or idea.
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
Math skills including the ability to use and understand common fractions and decimals.
Ability to perform and train employees on all Mechanical sub-assemblies and bare racks.
A Technical Qualification in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
AS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized accredited University is considered a plus.
