POSITION SPECIFICS
Thelaboratory of Prof. Manuel Llins at The Pennsylvania State Universityseeks an outstanding postdoctoral scholar to work on projects related to transcriptional regulation ofPlasmodium falciparumdevelopment. These projects will focus on the role of ApiAP2 proteins in parasite development single-cell transcriptional responses to parasite perturbations and the role of liquid-liquid phase separation in transcription hubs and perturbations to cellular proteostasis Candidates with interest in the following areas of malaria parasitology are strongly encouraged to apply: ApiAP2 protein function transcriptional regulation RNA metabolism gametocytogenesis or heat shock. Candidates will be expected to lead their own individual projects as well as contributing to collaborative research efforts. Exceptional opportunities are available for highly motivated candidates with strong publication records regardless of their specific area of expertise. Available position requires a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree or higher in a scientific discipline including biology chemistry or biochemistry.
