Job Description
We are working with a fast-growing cybersecurity startup company and as part of their continued growth NodeFlair has been engaged to search for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Singapore team.
The package is competitive at SGD 84k-156k (excluding bonus).
Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help shape and develop the core backend architecture of our products. You should have strong experience in Rust or Golang and a solid background in building scalable high-availability systems. This role involves close collaboration with product DevOps and frontend teams to take ideas from MVP to production.
What Youll Do:

Design and maintain backend systems using Rust or Golang.
- Build low-latency high-throughput solutions that process large data volumes in real-time.
- Take ownership of MVP development iterating quickly based on feedback.

Ensure systems are scalable reliable and optimized for performance.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack features.
- Write clean secure and well-documented code; contribute to code reviews and team mentorship.

Stay current with backend trends and help guide technical direction.
What Were Looking For:
- 2-5 years of backend development experience with at least 1 year using Rust or Golang.

Hands-on experience with Kafka.

Background in building real-time high-availability systems.

Experience turning MVPs into stable production-grade platforms.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems database design RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills comfortable in fast-moving environments.
Nice to Have:

Experience in cybersecurity or working at early-stage startups.

Familiarity with containerization microservices and cloud platforms.

Knowledge of other backend languages or frameworks.
