The post holder will be responsible supporting and assisting Home Care Coordinators and Lead Officer throughout the day by carrying out non-complex reviews covering duty supporting and assisting staff with PPE ordering distribution and collection supporting Home Care Coordinators with ordering equipment and uniform for staff as well as any other tasks associated. The main responsibility of the role is to be a support for Home Care Coordinators and Lead Officer therefore the list above is not exhaustive and covering all tasks associated with the Social Work Assistant Role.
Please note that Social Work Assistants are office based only and are based within their Locality office which will be Bankhead Glenrothes for this advertised post.
The Person
Considerable experience of working in a relevant setting Knowledge of professional practice models and standards Educated to SCQF level 7 which included HNC or Advanced Highers or SVQ 3 or equivalent
Knowledge of theory underpinning practice in relevant areas of Care at Home
Experience of joint working
Knowledge of relevant guidelines and information sharing protocols
Knowledge of the responsibility for reporting issues
Problem solving skills
Report writing skills
IT skills
Communication skills
Knowledge of the role of carers and families and the impact this may have on health and well-being
Knowledge of service policies procedures and resources
Ability to travel within Fife
Before confirming to your appointment you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
