Role Definition

Caterpillar is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for an exciting role based in Irving TX. In this role you will provide dedicated HR support and guidance to the LEPS Electric Powers Caterpillar Commercial Teams. You will work closely with the leadership teams on their strategic people priorities providing tailored services and solutions in support of their business and talent needs. As a key member of the EPD Human Resources team it is important to have growth mindset promote continuous improvement and help build an engaging culture. What You Will Do:

  • Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organizations strategic goals and objectives.
  • Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters including performance management compensation and benefits etc
  • Aligning HR policies and programs for their business unit or region which promote employee engagement retention and performance.
  • Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Work with global HR partners and process owners.


What You Have:

  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the companys business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organizations vision structure culture philosophy operating principles values and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations
  • HR: Policies Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organizations and industrys standards procedures and policies regarding human resources management.

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Previous experience leading and executing HR projects across global regions
  • Previous HR Business Partnering Experience
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills
  • Outstanding judgment and creative problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

  • Locations: Primary location: Irving TX
  • Candidate must be able to be onsite Monday to Friday
  • To support a Global Business there will be a requirement to travel up to 25%
  • Relocation is offered
  • Sponsorship is not offered

Summary Pay Range:

$110520.00 - $165840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
