Dillons Waste Management discipline is looking for a Waste Management Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

At Dillon we operate as one team. This position is available in our DillonVancouveroffice.

What your day will look like

Project Support & Waste Management Planning

• Assist in solid waste projects related to waste management policy planning and approvals waste diversion programs and waste management facilities across Canada.
• Completion and supervision of environmental field activities including waste composition studies monitoring maintenance evaluation and troubleshooting.
• Completion of data analysis and reporting.
• Assist in developing and participating in public consultation programs and preparing public-facing content.
• Assist project managers engineers environmental scientists and others on a variety of multidisciplinary design teams (including project engineers planners biologists technologists etc.).
• Coordinate and manage project tasks budgets and schedules.
• Contribute to report writing and preparation of spreadsheets and figures.
• Contribute to preparation of proposals

What you will need to succeed

• A degree or a diploma in environmental waste management or relevant disciplines.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in solid waste management preferably within a professional consulting environment.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Aptitude to learn.
• Familiar with relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation environmental policies codes and standards with respect to solid waste management and waste diversion.
• Ability to apply criteria to analytical data.

Compensation

$79000 - $88000

Dillon includes the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position and is dependent on the successful applicants education experience and skills in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range contingent on factors unrelated to an applicants gender or other status protected by provincial and/or federal law.
