Position Criteria:
- High School education or equivalent
- 5-7 electrical experience
- Completion of electrical apprenticeship
- State issued electrical license
Performance Criteria:
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical work on low and high voltage equipment including switching and distribution variable frequency and DC speed control equipment.
- Install maintain and repair all distribution of switchboards circuits machinery and general wiring.
- Carry out and document preventive and re-active electro-mechanical work on department equipment.
- Install energy saving devices which reduce the school districts quarterly electrical consumption cost without affecting power efficiency.
- Analyzing evaluating and interpreting blueprints schematics and building layouts in order to effectively address specific electrical needs to provide the desired result from teachers administrators staff and leadership.
- Serving as contact person and liaison for 3rd party electrical operations as needed for any electrical work requiring out of district personnel for service.
- Providing rapid and accurate analysis and repair during power outage and other immediate response situations.
- Updating and documenting building repairs and district records with electrical plans and maintenance.
- Maintain exterior and interior lighting and backup emergency lighting at all buildings and facilities throughout the entire district.
