What youll be doing
- Develop create and modify computer applications software.
- Work as part of a team of QA engineers onsite/remote testing multiple software releases.
- Work closely with the Firmware development and QA teams to test new Roku software on new products as well as existing platforms.
- Create test plans and test cases for new features and ensure that adequate test coverage provided.
- Modify existing test plans and test cases based on changes to the software/firmware.
- Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and be able to create detailed bug reports.
- Prepare precise Test Completion reports for Management to review and approve the release(s).
- Test compatibility with HDMI/HDCP Wi-Fi networks/routers audio/video streaming file types.
Up to two days per week telecommuting may be permitted.
You are required to have
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Must have coursework project background internship or work experience in each of the following:
- Writing and executing QA test plans for consumer electronics or embedded devices.
- Smart TVs consumer audio/video devices set-top boxes TV remote controllers home networking or WiFi.
- Audio/video streaming and audio/video codecs.
- Python scripting executing test scripts and reviewing test results.
- Formulating test strategy designing test cases and modifying/executing automated regression test scripts.
The annual salary for this position for Texas only is $126000.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set certifications and specific geographical location.
