Job Title: Director of Quality
Reports To: CEO
Department: Quality Management
Location: Markham 100% Onsite
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive quality strategy that aligns with the companys long-term vision and operational goals
Lead the quality function as a key member of the executive team influencing organizational direction and decision-making
Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate quality initiatives into the overall business strategy
Establish and oversee quality governance frameworks ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
Lead the development and implementation of quality policies procedures and best practices across the organization
Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on product quality and customer satisfaction
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality incidents ensuring timely resolution and prevention of recurrence
Lead the assessment and reorganization of the quality department to enhance efficiency and drive strategic initiatives
Documentation control
Maintain revision control for all operating procedures controlled quality manuals quality-controlled forms work instructions rework instructions and all applicable files of quality system documentation
Keep document history log QCF list and external codes/standards up to date
Management representative
Act as main company representative during annual ISOand AS 9100 registration/assessment audits
Resolve any non-conformances identified during the audits
Generate and send an Action Plan to the Registrar for the resolution of the non conformances
Attend all customer meetings/audits dealing with Quality Systems and generate anycorresponding Action Plans and/or reports as needed
Conduct all meetings with appliable staff dealing with QA issues Management Reviews and generate required Management Review Reports
General QA
Conduct supplier surveillance audits on selected vendors and generate corresponding audit reports
Implement and maintain ISOand AS 9100 quality management systems
Implement and maintain FDA listing
Generate inspection reports for applicable customers
Data analysis and report generation
Acquire on time delivery data 8D (NCR/Customer Complaint) data and generatereports
Acquire supplier performance evaluation customer satisfaction and production data
Assemble all data for analysis and subsequent actions
Conduct follow up on required actionsCustomer Liaison
Serve as QA representative for all customer/potential customer quality audits
Follow up documentation on all quality issues identified during these audits
Complete all customer issued questionnaires quality agreements surveys etc.
Address all submitted requests for policies on conflict minerals counterfeit parts and REACH programs
Complete all customer required Quality reports (Control plans FAI Reports ITAR Data Inspection Reports PPAP Reports)
Generate C of Cs for all applicable medical and aerospace customers
Other responsibilities as required
