In this highly responsible role you will function as an assistant to the director and perform human services work organizing and scheduling activities for senior citizens for our multi-purpose senior center. Work involves planning instructing and implementing various classes events and trips for the benefit and enjoyment of aging adults. Your responsibilities will include instructing various arts and craft classes securing speakers for the centers various special programs coordinating nutrition programs and activities and ensuring the welfare of participants on group trips. You will also help maintain accurate records of the centers program participation supplies and financial activity as well as handle any unusual or emergency situations as they arise.
Our team will rely on you to act as the agency representative in all center related programs involving consumers. This includes responding to questions for information via email in person or over the telephone as well as making referrals for consumers to appropriate human service agencies so they can obtain benefits and services which they are eligible to receive.
