Qualifications
Join our housekeeping team as a Laundry Attendant and play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our hotel. You will be responsible for operating laundry equipment sorting linens and ensuring all laundry is processed according to established procedures. This position requires physical stamina attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash linens and terry using appropriate washing formulas and machine settings.
- Dry clean laundry using dryers or extractors setting appropriate dials and unloading machines.
- Operate flat ironer feeding folding and stacking linens as instructed.
- Adhere to all safety rules and departmental policies and procedures.
- Sort soiled laundry into appropriate piles based on type and soiling level.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and operational status of laundry facilities and equipment.
- Report any major mechanical problems to the laundry supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 months of housekeeping-related experience.
- Aptitude for guest services and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand bend twist and lift in excess of 25 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull laundry carts for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work in an indoor climate-controlled environment.
- Ability to handle the physical strain of standing walking and lifting.
- Ability to handle the mental and visual demands of the job.
