As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst within Market Operations you will play a crucial role in balancing reconciling and comparing security trades for the Purchase & Sales Department. You will engage with stakeholders to ensure new businesses and trade flows work properly and coordinate with technology for trade investigation and process improvements. Your work will directly impact the firms operations and contribute to the wider community by ensuring accurate and efficient trade processes.

Job responsibilities

  • Balance and reconcile all transactions processed through JPMS LLC
  • Notify correspondents and trading desks of unmatched trades
  • Resolve all suspense account breaks
  • Monitor open fail-to-receive/deliver items for valid comparisons
  • Review rejected transactions
  • Assist stakeholders in updating/correcting trades upon requests
  • Identify thematic issues and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure new businesses and trade flows work properly for P&S
  • Coordinate with technology for both trade investigation and process improvements

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Strong analytical technical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective adaptable and professional communication/interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail quality and accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure high-volume deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive in identifying areas of opportunity for improvement
  • Open and receptive to feedback/coaching
  • Accountable reliable and committed
  • Two years of experience in finance operations

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of securities industry and operations (e.g. maturities equities fixed income custody services)
  • Ability to analyze a process and recommend ways to improve quality control and efficiency
  • Educated to a Degree Level
