Job Description
Seaman USD #345 has an opening for an Assistant Track Coach for the 2025-26 school year.
Candidate must have coaching experience and/or have competed in Track.
Position is responsible for coaching student athletes in competitive track events to prepare them for competition. Position motivates student athletes to develop an appreciation of Track & Field. This position runs from 2/15/26 to 5/31/26.
Essential Duties:
1. Assist our head and assistant track coaches in developing a strong and staff.
2. Assist in organizing practice and competition in cohesion with our head and assistant coaches.
3. Fill a role as determined by the head coach that best fits the needs of our SHS track program.
4. Encourages pre-season conditioning student participation and off-season participation.
5. Develop skill improvement and promote individual and team success.
6. Meet complicance in the rules & regulations equipment and techniques with staff & athletes.
7. Follows established procedures & protocol set by the athletic trainer in the event of an injury.
8. Communicate with coaches regarding the detail of daily opreations and expectations.
9. Follow KSHSAA & USD #345 regulations governing our Track & Field and the SHS Athletics.
10. Model appropriate behavior toward athletes parents officials opponnets & spectators.
11. Be involved in special activities; parent night banquets assemblies etc.
12. Remain updated in techniques training methods and attend clinics for self-improvement.
13. Work with the head coach & AD regarding all aspects SHS Track & Field program.
14. Demonstrate nondiscriminatory behavior that govern all aspects of Seaman USD #345.
