About the opportunity
Join our team at Cardinia Shire and play a crucial role in managing and protecting our beautiful landscapes and open spaces. Youll ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure outcomes and support our playground inspection program.
You will make an impact by
- Regularly inspecting parks and open spaces to ensure they meet contract standards.
- Providing advice on the maintenance and construction of sports fields parks and landscaped areas.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of work plans to maintain sports fields in top condition.
- Responding to public queries about landscaped areas and sports fields.
- Supporting the Township Maintenance team with playground inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
What you will bring
- Experience inspecting parks and open spaces to make sure they meet the standards specified in various Open Space Services Contracts.
- Ability to analyse interpret and provide advice on the natural and built environment.
- Skills in identifying playground faults and facilitating repairs.
- Post-secondary qualifications in horticulture arboriculture or a related field.
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or similar is desirable.
- Proficiency in using computers and mobile technology with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
- A valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
