Position is 1099 contract work is as needed
Must be US Citizen
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a HVAC Estimator Commercial Construction Estimator or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in HVAC mechanical and/or piping/plumbing construction is required.
- Proficiency in using estimation software such as Onscreen Take-Off Trimble Business Center or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of orthographic drawings and the ability to interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills to calculate quantities and costs accurately.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- A degree in Engineering Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for HVAC mechanical and piping/plumbing construction projects.
- Analyze orthographic drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Use advanced software tools to calculate quantities and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and contractors to gather all necessary data for accurate estimation.
- Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Present estimates and conduct cost comparison analysis to senior management and clients.
- Monitor and track project costs identifying any potential risks or opportunities for cost savings.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends techniques and materials to ensure our estimates are competitive and realistic.
