Job Description
What will you be doing
ALTEN is looking for an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer to support the design and development of payload systems for articulated truck platforms. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in engineering mechanics and full lifecycle development of mechanical systems.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Design and deliver payload system solutions from concept through to production (cradle to grave process)
- Capture define and manage high-level system requirements
- Generate innovative concepts and contribute to system architecture development
- Apply calibrate and interpret data from strain gauges
- Work collaboratively across mechanical electrical and software disciplines
Who are we looking for
- Solid understanding of the physics behind engineering mechanics
- Hands-on experience with strain gauges and their application in mechanical systems
- Strong background in concept generation and system development
- Experience with full product development lifecycle
- Comfortable working with high-level system requirements

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (BEng MEng or equivalent)
- Additional certifications or training related to system design sensors or data acquisition are desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
