JOB DESCRIPTION: This is professional services work of a managerial nature directing support functions of the Boards Claims Management Unit (CMU). The CMU is one of the Boards core administrative units and is responsible for processing and verifying accuracy of mandatory regulatory filings for workers compensation claims. Responsibilities include setting and enforcing unit policies coordinating with Board professional staff and providing input to development of Board policies rules and statutory provisions. Supervision is exercised over professional technical and clerical employees. Work is performed under limited supervision.
REPRESENTATIVE TASKS:
Plans organizes assigns and directs the work of staff to facilitate attainment of unit work goals and ensure consistent application of Board policies procedures and guidelines. Manages unit operations and programs to establish operational priorities; coordinates operations with other units to ensure program objectives and standards are established and attained. Analyzes operational conditions in order to recommend improvements in policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education training and/or experience in Business/Public Administration Accounting Economics or another related field demonstrating competency in coordinating business operations reviewing and maintaining records and acting in a leadership capacity.
