The LA Conservation Corps (the Corps) is a private non-profit organization that has been helping young adults develop themselves since 1986. To date more than 20000 young people have participated in Corps classes and service projects learning new skills while contributing to the quality of life for all of us in the greater Los Angeles area.
Mission
The primary mission of the LA Conservation Corps is to provide at-risk young adults and school-aged youth with opportunities for success through job skills training education and work experience with an emphasis on conservation and service projects that benefit the community.
Completes daily maintenance tasks including collection of debris from trash receptacles bulky item pick up and proper material disposal.
Works independently and takes lead in completing daily tasks in multiple work zones.
Motivates young people to fulfill their education development and work plans and goals.
Provides corps members the skills necessary to improve their employability.
Ensures safe work practices a safe work environment and the proper maintenance of vehicles equipment and tools.
Ensures a consistently high quality of work is performed on the various work projects.
At project worksites serves as liaison between project sponsoring agency staff and your supervisor.
Trains and guides the team in project development tasks.
Implements work projects in a manner that is timely efficient and effective from start to finish.
Ensures that the appropriate equipment is available for the work crews to perform the work projects.
Maintains appropriate professional close ties with community-based organizations.
Provides team support for community events and promote community involvement in team projects.
Plans and carries out assigned crew scheduling.
Prepares daily and monthly reports of project work assignments.
Punctuality and satisfactory attendance are essential functions of the job.
Working from home is not an option.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Salary and benefits
Hourly rate: $21.24 - $25.90(reflects the entire hourly rate range). A starting hourly rate higher than $21.24per hour is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale (hourly rate range).
Internal application procedure
