The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering athletic excellence teaching valuable skills and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture. The Head Coach will oversee the teams development manage the meet and practice schedule and work collaboratively with players parents and administration to create a successful and positive experience for all Responsibilities:Develop and implement training programs to improve team performance individual skills and overall and manage all aspects of the Varsity Cross Country team including practices meets and team players in team and individual strategy and sportsmanship while encouraging teamwork and character and facilitate pre-season conditioning practices and team-building effectively with athletes parents and school staff about schedules expectations and meet day logistics including preparation and the academic progress of athletes and ensure a balance between athletics and and enforce school district and league policies and :Prior coaching experience in cross country or track preferably at the high school level (head coaching experience is preferred).Knowledge of distance running strategies and training routinesStrong leadership organizational and communication to inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their potential on and off the Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of the season).Compensation:Per S.T.A. contracted stipend Process:Interested candidates should submit a cover letter detailing relevant coaching experience qualifications and interest in the position.
