Position Summary
The Maria Parham Cancer Center Research Liaison is the primary point of contact between the research team study personnel and providers ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
Reports to: Director of Cancer Center
Responsibilities of the Position
Acts as the main point of contact between patients providers study personnel and the Dule Cancer Network (DCN) Research Team for assigned studies.
Assists with participant recruitment management of study data and assisting with study setup at the site.
Assists with data collection management and ensuring accuracy of completeness within the Cancer Center.
Ensures that studies are conducted in compliance with the institutional requirements and regulatory guidelines.
Directs communication with the HPA to ensure that all documents are signed and completed in accordance with DCN guidelines.
Directs communication and participation with LPNT legal and Maria Parham administration in regard to research contracts.
Attends quarterly COC and MPMC/DCN Steering Committee meetings.
Required Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Associates degree is preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Two (2) years healthcare experience is preferred.
Required Skills
Knowledge of clinical research - understanding of research principles regulatory requirements and ethical conduct.
Communication Skills - excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly with diverse audiences.
Organizational Skills - strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Problem-Solving Skills - ability to identify and resolve problems related to study implementation and management.
