The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customers equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
Key Responsibilities/essential functions include:
- Total system-level troubleshooting installation maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment.
- Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to customers. Maintain communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up leading to customer satisfaction.
- Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
- Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
- Can identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account team in his/her geographic area
- Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area
- Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time.
- Ensures timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs
- Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes
- Cooperate with the internal stakeholders and interlocutors
- Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement
Quality Specific Goals:
- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual Quality Management System Quality Management Policy Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering Electronic Engineering IT Engineering or similar field or High specialization technical Diploma and a relevant experience on the field and with the customers
- Experience in troubleshooting diagnosing and repairing mechanical electromechanical and/or electronic equipment
- Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities extensive knowledge and experience of MR modalities machineries in particular
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly
- Expert in interacting with the Customer drive positive relationships ensure satisfaction
- Based in Lombardia or able to relocate
- Fluent in Italian and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to show self-initiative & motivation and to work independently with minimum direction
- Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process
- Change agent and process oriented
- IT & connectivity skills
