Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION : Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day evening and/or weekend teaching assignments which may include distance learning (interactive television online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department division and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate by the final filing date must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors: Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR Any bachelors degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area. Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler Manager and Responsible Alcohol Certification Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service OR The equivalent EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT : All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District ( YCCD ) by the application filing date. Alternatively applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
