Job Description
Essential Functions
Supervises staff to ensure their actions and behaviors are promoting a positive safety culture Provides technical advice coaching and mentoring to employees and supervisors on safety initiatives and any warranted changes Works with Union officials to address mediate and mitigate safety concerns Maintains a consistent Comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety Program that meets and or exceeds regulatory requirements Develops and administers safety and health-related education programs to increase the awareness and competence of all WSSC Water employees Oversees the implementation of effective safety and health policies and procedures Prepares and analyzes job safety and accident statistical reports to provide direction for program changes to enhance preventive actions Coordinates development of and compliance with occupational Health & Safety Programs across WSSC Water workgroups Coordinates and assists in the planning and scheduling of periodic safety and health activities including emergency management and response planning safety inspections job site assessments accident investigations medical surveillance and safety and health meetings Drives a vehicle to conduct WSSC Water business
Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8hrs afterhours and emergencies as required.
