Job Description
Payroll Clerk
Construction company in Montgomery AL is hiring a Payroll Clerk to support the accounting team. Responsibilities include:
- Assist and provide backup to the Payroll Specialist
- Review weekly payroll and ensure accuracy of new hire data
- Respond to payroll inquiries via phone email or in person
- Help implement and learn new payroll software
- Assist with audits year-end tasks and organizing payroll records in
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
- 2 years of payroll processing experience preferably in the construction industry
- Strong proficiency in Excel (testing required)
- Construction payroll union payroll or prevailing wage experience required
