Job Description
About Northpointe Heart Center
At Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Cardiology varicose vein treatment is conducted by specialists in cardiac vascular and venous disease. We offer a number of options to relieve pain and swelling from varicose veins as well as perform complete cardiovascular system evaluations.
Scope of Work
The Senior EP may supervise any departmental service line in accordance with their training including cardiovascular stress tests for individuals with and without chronic disease Phase 2 and Phase 3 cardiac rehabilitation classes holter/event monitor hook ups EECP etc. Assists with coordination of special patient staff and professional events participates in writing and/or research projects and provides orientations and training to new staff. The Senior EP provides input to management re: staff performance assists with staff competencies facilitates timely equipment repair/maintenance assists with staff scheduling and physician coverage and serves as department lead in the absence of the Program Director and Manager. The Senior EP also provides leadership for various departmental service lines or programs (ie cardiac rehab referral intake internship program work groups strategic planning initiatives etc.).
Standard Qualifications

- Required Bachelors Degree Exercise Physiology.
- Preferred Masters Degree Exercise Physiology or related field.
- 4 years experience in cardiac rehabilitation and stress testing. Required
- Significant involvement in departmental and professional initiatives (e.g. student internship program professional organization involvement research/writing etc.). Required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire preferred
- CRT-Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certified (CEP) - ACSM American College of Sports Medicine Upon Hire required
