Senior Account Manager Commercial Transportation

Location: Toronto Schedule: Hybrid Type: Full-Time Industry: Commercial Insurance

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Account Manager Commercial Transportation to join their dynamic team in Downtown Toronto. This is a fantastic opportunity for a knowledgeable advisor with deep expertise in commercial transportation insurance to take ownership of a robust book of business while supporting producers in growth and client service excellence.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a renewal book of commercial transportation clients delivering exceptional service and acting as a strategic advisor. This role requires strong communication attention to detail and a proactive approach to client and producer support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a renewal book of business ensuring a high retention rate.

  • Provide same-day responses to client inquiries to maintain high service standards.

  • Collaborate with producers to coordinate service plans address client concerns and implement risk management strategies.

  • Prepare professional proposals stewardship reviews quotes binders and endorsements.

  • Review coverage exposures and loss history to assess insurance needs and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate servicing and billing of accounts.

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date workflow documentation (Arcturis) and ensure all processes are followed.

  • Participate in cross-sell campaigns client meetings and other strategic initiatives.

  • Stay current with industry knowledge through ongoing training and development.

  • Foster strong working relationships with clients insurers and team members across departments.

What You Bring

  • 35 years of commercial transportation insurance experience (required)

  • R.I.B.O. license (required)

  • CIP or CAIB designation (asset)

  • Strong background in client relationship management and development

  • In-depth understanding of policy wordings coverages and market dynamics

  • Ability to mentor colleagues and demonstrate strong negotiation skills

  • Proven time management analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook Arcturis (an asset)

  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
