Business Overview
Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development Investor Relations External Relations Sustainable Investment and Brand Marketing & Communications including Internal Communications.
It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects existing investors and their asset consultants as well as a broad range of other stakeholders including governments and media.

The Role
Working as part of the broader Global External Relations team the Director Public Policy & Research will report to the Executive Director Public Policy and Research.
As part of a small team you will play an important role in achieving outcomes across these functions working collaboratively across the rest of the team and other internal and external stakeholders. Activities critical to this role include:
- Lead the teams efforts in research writing and analysis for projects and initiatives involving public policy investment and sustainability including thought leadership papers and submissions to public consultations.
- Providing leadership and advice on the implications of public policy regulation and developments in the external world for IFM our owners and the work of the Global External Relations team.
- Managing internal IFM governance and internal stakeholder relations regarding policy and strategy activity at board and staff level including the preparation of board reports and briefing materials.
Your Background and Experience
With deep expertise and leadership within public policy you may have gained this experience in a range of fields including public service consulting financial institutions or advocacy organisations.
Ideally you will have experience across a broad range of sectors but particularly across one or more of the following; economics foreign policy climate change and energy infrastructure aviation shipping institutional investment sustainable investment capital markets superannuation and pensions affordable housing real estate.
The ability to drive outcomes across a team whether through formal people leadership or by leading projects/ engagements is essential for the role.
