Job Description
Our client is an established and progressive national Chartered Accounting practice with a solid reputation on the Gold Coast. They have high standards and promote a fun and friendly work environment. A new career opportunity has opened for a Junior Accountant to pick up and run with a fantastic training opportunity across the practice that will develop their career further.
Ideally you will have experience within an accounting firm however we are also open to a candidate that is close to completing their Degree. You will undertake a development program to obtain valuable hands on experience across all aspects of a firm including bookkeeping general business services accounting taxation group structures and self-managed super funds.
Duties will include:
- Business Accounting and bookkeeping
- Cross training in other business services functions of the practice
- Creation of and maintaining client files and ledgers
- Processing of data scanning and creation of letters/documents/reports
- Customer service assistance and customer-related tasks
We are seeking a professional candidate that meets the following criteria:
- Degree qualification (Business/Commerce)
- Ideally 6 months to 2 years experience within an accounting firm
- An understanding of general business service accounting - tax returns BAS financial statements
- Committed to quality standards and procedures
- A very high attention to detail
- Intermediate skills in the MS Office suite and exposure to accounting packages
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A strong desire to learn responsibility for your work and commitment to professional development
- Excellent customer service skills
- A professional respectful and friendly manner
