JOB TITLE:
Sous Chef - Washakie Dining Center
JOB PURPOSE:
oin our passionate team at Washakie Dining Center as a Sous Chef and help fuel the campus community! As a Sous Chef you will arrange and participate in activities of cooks and other workers engaged in preparing and cooking foodstuffs. Assumes responsibility for the kitchen in absence of Chef or Executive Chef by supervising workers engaged in preparing and portioning foods to ensure that methods of cooking and portioning as prescribed. Instructs cooking personnel in fine points of cooking and customer service to ensure a high-quality experience for the campus community.
This position has been deemed essential as addressed in the University of Wyomings Employee Handbook.Employees in essential positions may be required to work during emergency closures and winter closure based on the nature of their job duties and the reasons for the closure.

WORK LOCATION ELIGIBILITY: This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States. Sponsorship for H-1B work authorization or work visa is not available for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates degree accredited culinary training or 3 years supervisory experience in a large volume culinary setting
Experience: 3 years work-related experience
Required licensure certification registration or other requirements:
