As an AIN your responsibilities will include:
Assist nurses or hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties
Work as part of the health care team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practice parameters
Assess patients using therapeutic skills
Provide recommendations to specialist treatment programs based on their diagnosis
Answering patient/visitor/customer enquiries
Healthscope Northern Beaches Hospital is an accredited training hospital. Due to our size and acute hospital status a role in the casual pool of NBH means youll be involved in training and exposed to a wide range of cases.
NBH is located in Frenchs Forest only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. We are contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds. Providing a wide range of health services to the local community including Surgery a 50 bed Emergency Department Intensive Care Birthing Paediatrics Cardiac Mental Health Dialysis Cancer Centre and Outpatients.
NBH has 13 operating theatres one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Certificate IV in Health Care from an approved training provider
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (completed a minimum of one placement)
Excellent customer service skills
Demonstrated effective written verbal communication
Excellent ability to plan and prioritise work
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Experience working in the private healthcare system
Flexibility to manage shift work (including day & night shifts) over 7 days
