Job Description

Job Title: Requisition Order Specialist

Department: Purchasing

Reports to: Director of Purchasing

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Requisition Order Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the requisition order process from start to finish ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all requests. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receive and review all requisition orders for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Ensure that all necessary approvals have been obtained before processing orders.
  3. Work closely with vendors to obtain pricing availability and delivery information.
  4. Process orders in a timely and efficient manner
  5. Communicate order status updates to internal stakeholders and vendors.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all requisition orders and related documents.
  7. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to requisition orders.
  8. Continuously monitor and improve the requisition order process.
  9. Provide regular reports on requisition order status to management.
  1. Because of the changing nature of our business this job description will inevitably change. The employee will from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within his/her capabilities as directed by management.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. 2 years of experience in office setting.
  3. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  4. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  5. Strong attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  8. Experience with Epicor ERP is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. May require lifting of up to 20 pounds.
