DescriptionThe Latin American Tree Growth Intern will help manage projects that will grow the FamilySearch Family Tree in all Latin American countries. These projects add more people and information to individuals in the Family Tree. They will prepare and manage the projects communicate with other employees throughout Latin America and work with 3rd parties as we provide resources to help the different groups successfully complete the projects. They will help create training resources and teach others how to work in the FamilySearch Family Tree. This is a one year part time internship (up to 20 hours/week).
Responsibilities- Develop and manage projects to help grow the tree throughout Latin America
- Coordinate the work needed and communicate with employees in all 6 ecclesiastical areas for multiple types of projects.
- Develop written and video training to help workers participate in these projects.
- Communicate with areas to manage projects as needed.
- Understand and evaluate record sets for utility in various types of projects.
Qualifications- General knowledge of family history research principles the FamilySearch Family Tree and resolving hints and duplicates in the Tree required. Experience as a Temple and Family History Consultant a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Experience developing written instructions and guidelines preferred
- Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
