Position Summary:Consistently complies with all company safety protocols ensuring a safe work environment for self and team members.
Maintains a clean and organized workspace and equipment at all times.
Demonstrates professionalism punctuality and high reliability.
Mechanically sets up both lines from pay-off to take-up operations including the installation of appropriate tooling (dies) and auxiliary line equipment necessary for producing specified stranded conductor gauge sizes per process instructions.
Monitors raw material supply to ensure continuous production flow.
Conducts precise measurements using company-approved measuring tools to verify compliance with required specifications (see PC 034 and PC 025).
Ensures all measuring devices are properly calibrated.
Takes immediate corrective actions to maintain product quality.
Generates product identification tags for finished goods and maintains accurate and complete records including work center line logs.
Actively participates in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Supports the maintenance of ISO certification and adheres to all System Level Procedures (SLPs) and Process Controls (PCs).
Follows the production tracking report schedule diligently.
Visually inspects empty take-up reels to ensure proper size strength and cleanliness.
Operates the take-up machine to produce reels that are neat and free from crossovers or loops.
Performs spool-to-spool and rod-to-rod welding operations to ensure uninterrupted production.
Monitors annealer solution and die lubrication levels to maintain efficient operation.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in the wire and cable industry is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of basic line operations and equipment used in wire and cable manufacturing.
Familiarity with industry tools and measuring devices.
Ability to operate pay-off and take-up equipment safely and efficiently.
Working knowledge of ISO standards applicable to the production process.
Capable of selecting and installing gears and dies appropriately.
Ability to handle heavy wire spools (D-3 line).
Understanding of internal and industry-specific codes used to identify conductors and wires.
Basic knowledge of welding principles and finished product tagging.
