Axiom Maths is a charity focusing on helping every child with the heart and head for maths realise the potential of their power. Half of the disadvantaged children who are high attainers in maths at eleven are no longer high attainers by age sixteen. That is a huge loss of human potential that affects both those children as individuals and us as a wider society. We are focused on stopping that loss.
We do this by identifying children with mathematical potential especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and guiding them along a path to mathematical excellence. We take a dual-pronged approach: Providing a programme to improve their experience of maths and tackling harmful societal views that stop children from feeling like maths is for them.
