Head of Manufacturing

The Opportunity:

The company is seeking a highly experienced and specialized Head of Manufacturing to lead their production operations. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving our manufacturing strategy optimizing processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern manufacturing principles a proven track record in operational leadership and the strategic vision to scale production while maintaining uncompromising quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive manufacturing strategies aligned with the companys overall business objectives focusing on efficiency cost reduction and capacity expansion.
  

• Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process ensuring optimal production flow resource utilization and adherence to production schedules. Drive initiatives for lean manufacturing Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  

• Quality Assurance: Champion a robust quality management system ensuring all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement best practices for quality control and assurance throughout the production lifecycle.
  

• Team Management & Development: Lead mentor and develop a high-performing manufacturing team fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. Promote skill development and succession planning within the department.
  

• Budget & Cost Control: Manage the manufacturing budget effectively identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety. Oversee procurement of raw materials and manage inventory levels.
  

• Technology & Innovation: Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies automation solutions and production techniques to enhance efficiency productivity and product quality.
  

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all health safety and environmental regulations. Develop and enforce robust safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  

• Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain R&D and sales teams to ensure seamless integration from product development to delivery optimizing lead times and responsiveness.
  

• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations regularly reporting on progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Manufacturing or related field); Masters degree preferred.
  
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership roles with at least 5 years in a senior management position (e.g. Plant Manager Director of Operations).
  
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  
• Certification is a plus.
  
• Strong understanding of modern manufacturing technologies automation and industry best practices.
  
• Proven ability to lead motivate and develop large teams in a complex manufacturing environment.
  
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  
• Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
  
• Proficiency in relevant manufacturing software and ERP systems.
  
• Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and relevant industry regulations.
