QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED required associates degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of three years work experience in a licensed childcare facility early childhood program or school setting.
- Minimum of two years successful experience in a supervisory role.
- Hold a valid Child Care Directors Certificate from the state of Texas or meet the qualifications to become a licensed childcare director.
- Strong organization communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 210 days
SALARY:
$59336 (IA 2)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise the operation of assigned Early Learning Center.
- Obtain a Texas Child Care Directors License after employment if not already licensed.
- Manage and evaluate staff members to ensure quality program implementation.
- Design direct and coordinate the centers daily schedule and special events.
- Direct and coordinate curriculum at the Early Learning Center with CFISD Curriculum Department.
- Observe and provide feedback to instructors/aides regarding instructional practices and strategies that increase child learning and development.
- Provide professional development opportunities for staff members.
- Maintain all child records support child enrollment and classroom assignments.
- Ensure the operation of the center is in compliance with or exceeds the standards of Texas Child Care Licensing.
- Manage human resources related tasks pertaining to policies and procedures.
- Manage and provide input on the ELC budget.
- Maintain the appearance cleanliness and safe environment of the classrooms buildings and playgrounds.
- Provide regular on-going communication to the director to the department.
- Provide input on department policies and procedures.
- Provide quality customer service to all stakeholders.
- Perform any and all other duties deemed necessary by the Community Programs department and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Communication and Community Relations.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
