Job Description
- Perform complex structural assembly on aircraft including mechanical assemblies subassemblies and system installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft mechanical components and non-complex electrical systems.
- Modify and repair aircraft structures using specialized tools and techniques (e.g. match drilling riveting fastener installation).
- Operate precision tools such as torque wrenches micrometers cable tensiometers and sheet metal brakes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings process specs and technical orders.
- Work with high-hazard chemicals and comply with safety regulations.
Qualifications :
- 7-10 years of on-aircraft heavy structural experience.
- 5 years in an MRO Repair Station AOG or Travel MODS environment.
- 5 years of experience in aircraft assembly/disassembly.
- 2 years of composites experience (preferred).
- 2 years of Velocity and Radar experience (preferred).
- Strong ability to identify and use common aircraft tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
- Work Schedule: Ability to work variable shifts (1st 2nd or 3rd shifts
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry 10-35 pounds.
- Frequent bending kneeling standing twisting reaching and climbing.
- Work with high-impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting).
- Exposure to high noise levels chemicals and confined spaces.
