Job Purpose

This intern/co-op position supports the technical center laboratory with products such as Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valves Coolers High Voltage Coolant Heaters and other products as needed. The successful candidate will report to the Lab Supervisor and assist with prototype data collection lab organization test setup and various other tasks. This position offers excellent hands-on experience for those looking to train for a career as a lab technician or mechanic in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

Lab tasks included but not limited to:

• Lab organization
• Prototype data collection
• Test set-up data collection set-up
• Teardown support part review/photograph problem solving
• Part Measurement
• Data download/formatting

What we are looking for

Education & Experience:

• High School degree required
• Student working towards an Associates degree or higher preferably in an area of technical skills

Safety

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program including safety rules practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual which includes the use of equipment protective devices or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations incidents or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
