Job Summary:
This role is for a Cath Lab Technologist responsible for providing diagnostic imaging services in a short-term acute care hospital setting. The position requires on-call availability for weeknights and weekends and involves floating between units. The technologist will perform procedures under the supervision of a physician and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team. ARRT certification is required; consideration may be given to candidates with active licenses from other states who are in the process of obtaining an Oregon license.
Location: Portland Oregon United States
Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic imaging procedures in the Cath Lab.
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment.
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Managing patient records and documentation.
- Responding to on-call requests during weeknights and weekends.
- Floating between units as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification.
- Cath Lab experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license or active application for licensure.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a short-term acute care hospital setting.
- Experience with Epic charting system.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities for weeknights and weekends.
- Floating between units.
- ARRT certification is mandatory; candidates with out-of-state licenses actively applying for Oregon licensure will be considered. Fluoroscopy operation requires an Oregon OBMI license.
- 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
- 4:1 patient-to-staff ratio.
Scheduling:
